POSITION OVERVIEW

The Managed Care System Analyst is critical in performing ongoing analysis of all account-based, reimbursement transactions for accuracy. The role also analyzes Facility Managed Care contracts, reconciles to payments received and makes recommendations to prevent future cash losses.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• Work with Facility Information Systems and Health Information Management to extract the data necessary to perform ongoing analysis of all account-based, reimbursement transactions for accuracy. Make recommendations to prevent future cash losses.
• Analyze Facility Managed Care contracts and reconcile to payments received. Contact insurance companies to have adjustments processed if payments are not in accordance with the contract.
• Identify, analyze and recommend improvement to existing business processes within the department for optimization and quality advancement.
• Conduct effective negotiation with insurance carriers and those we are privileged to serve.
• Identify and recapture underpayments from payers that have paid incorrectly.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Required High School Diploma/GED
• Bachelor's Degree - Preferred
• 4 years Healthcare related field - Preferred
• 1 year Auditing - Required
